Softball Takes Down San Bernardino

BAKERSFIELD, CA - In a thrilling softball game at Bakersfield, the Bakersfield College softball team emerged victorious with an 8-4 win over San Bernardino Valley.

The game started with San Bernardino Valley taking an early lead, scoring a run in each of the first two innings. However, Bakersfield responded with three runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead. San Bernardino Valley managed to tie the game in the top of the sixth, but Bakersfield's offense exploded for four runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the win.

Sadie Salas led Bakersfield's offensive charge, going 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, scoring two runs, and driving in one. Serenity Angulo and Savannah Figueroa also contributed two RBIs each.

On the mound, Ryleigh Harrison started for Bakersfield, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing three runs on eight hits. Savannah Figueroa came in for relief and pitched 3.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits to secure the win.
