Bakersfield Takes the loss of the Final Game against El Camino

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Bakersfield College baseball team looked to win the third and final game of the series on a beautiful Saturday afternoon against El Camino. Unfortunately, Warriors stayed on top and won the game, 6-3 and went home with the series win.

El Cmaino for the the third time in the last three days got on the board first with two runs in the first and another in the following inning to lead 3-0 before Bakersfield scored a run. BC held them off from making another run in the third and answered back at the bottom. Gillermo Monje doubled to right center and sent Zamaree Tillman home to grab Renegades first run of the day. Jacob Baker pursued the next run from Jose Ruiz's sacraficed pop up fly to keep Bakersfield in the game at (2-3).

The Warriors added three more runs at the top of five from a BC error and two singles to left field. Renegades tacked on one more run from a Baker double to right center for an RBI for Tillman but Warriors defense was too strong for BC.

The Renegades drop to 2-4 on the young season. Tuesday, February 8th, they will host College of the Sequoias for a 2pm game and then head out for the first road game during the weekend.
