Baseball Moves on Several Sophomores

 

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College baseball program would like to announce the commitment of several sophomores to will continue their college athletic careers, David Delgadillo, Tim Ruiz, Kyle Langston, Jordan Lopez, Brock Slikker, Zamaree Tillman, Alek Martinez, Luke Froehlich, and Alex Rodriguez.  

Pitcher David Delgadillo will continue his athletic career as a Peacock at Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey. The Peacocks are a Division 1 school that competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Tim Ruiz (Pitcher) is heading out north to Fresno Pacific University to compete in the PacWest Conference, while teammates Kyle Langston, Jordan Lopez, and Brock Slikker will all be taking their talent to Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas playing as a Brave in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.  

Outfielder Zamaree Tillman will head to St. Louis, MO to attend Harris-Stowe State University in the American Midwest Conference. Alek Martinez (1B/Pitcher) signed with Metropolitan State University in Denver for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while Luke Froehlich will be playing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference for the Morningside University Mustangs in Sioux City, IA. Lastly, teammate Alex Rodriguez has committed to play in the Cascade Collegiate Conference for the Oregon Tech Owls. 

All sophomores played under the great Tim Painton their first year and continued playing for the red and white under coach Kurt Townson.
