BC MEN'S HOOPS ON WRONG SIDE OF BACK AND FORTH BATTLE AGAIN

Coach Hughes and BC Basketball will work hard to close games better this upcoming week.

For the third time in their last three games, the Bakersfield College Men's Basketball team (#19, 6-5) ran out of time and chances in the waning seconds of a game, this time losing to LA Harbor College in the consolation bracket of the Antelope Valley Tournament Saturday.

The Renegades couldn't capitalize on another strong performance from Stockdale product Tucker Eenigenburg. The freshman guard made the most of his third start of the season, leading BC scorers with 17 points on six of 13 shooting from the field. He also shot 50 percent from beyond the arc, hitting five three-pointers for BC.

Head Coach Rich Hughes lauded Eenigenburg for lighting a spark for the 'Gades in Friday's loss to Fullerton, when he came on in the second half and helped BC erase a nine point defecit with 12 points off the bench.

Hughes has also said the team must get better at closing games, and tonight seemed to reinforce his observation. While the 'Gades held the lead for over eight minutes in the first half, Harbor held the lead for nearly fifteen minutes in the second half.

BC resumes action on Thursday, December 8th at 3pm when they play LA Valley in the Santa Barbara Tournament.
