The Bakersfield College Men's basketball team needed a solid win, and they got it with a 73-56 drubbing of Hartnell College in day two of the West Valley Tournament.

"We talked a lot about energy and focus and we didn't have that yesterday," Coach Rich Hughes said of the team's three point loss to Foothill, "So today, everybody cheered each other on, and helad each other accountable...so we can out and played with some fire."

BC had four scorers in double-digits, led by Tucker Eenigenburg with 17 off the bench, Jamar Hammonds with 15, while Jaylunn English and Sean Leflore each chipped in 13 points.

"It's been a hard week, but that's not an excuse. When I scheduled, I new this was going to be a tough stretch for us with the amount of travel, but we responded well, and hopefully tomorrow we can do the same thing," Hughes said.

BC will play Monterrey Peninsula at noon for the consolation championship.
