Tucker Eenigenburg exploded for 30 points Saturday-22 of which came in the second half-to push BC to 4-0 in conference play.

Tucker Eenigenburg scored 30 points on stellar shooting, and the Bakersfield College Men's Basketball team (17-8, 4-0) remains undefeated with a 91-79 road win over College of the Canyons (11-12, 1-2) Saturday.

The Stockdale product led all scorers with a searing 53% shooting percentage from the floor, and was 5 of 10 from beyond the three-point line. He also made all five of his attempts from the free throw line.

BC took a one point lead into the half, thanks to almost solely to Jamar Hammonds. His first half performance included 16 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. He was the only 'Gade in double figures for scoring in the first frame.

Something clicked in Eenigenburg at halftime, and he went from hitting only three of his eight field goal attempts in the first half (for eight points), to absolutely igniting the Renegades with a 7-11 performance (3-5 on 3-pointers), along with three rebounds, a steal, and no turnovers.

Hammonds finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Shane Christie made every shot count on the way to 17 points. Christie was six of nine from the field and made five of six three throws. He also picked up three rebounds, three assists, and a pair of steals.

Bakersfield closes the first half of conference play in a fine position to repeat as Western State South Conference champions in back-to-back seasons, which would be a first under Coach Rich Hughes's leadership.

BC will three of their final four regular season games at home, starting with a Saturday, February 4th game against LA Pierce (10-13, 1-2) at 3pm.
