Cuellar's Walk-off Wins the 10 Inning Game over Citrus College

BAKERSFIELD, CA - It took the game to 10 innings before the home team could secure a win in a walk-off from sophomore Destiny Cuellar. The Bakersfield College softball team won 2-1 against the Citrus College Owls on a student-athlete-filled day.

The game was tied at one at the bottom of the seventh inning from a double hit by Shelbie Valencia scoring a run. Citrus scored a run earlier in the fourth to take the lead but the long game would be credited to strong pitching from Ryliegh Harrison who struck out five and tough defense on both sides.

BC collected nine hits from Cuellar, Valencia, and Breanna Marquez

With the win, the Renegades move to 17-11 overall and 9-2 in conference. The team will go on the road for five games starting with a doubleheader at LA Valley on Thursday and another doubleheader on Saturday.
