The Bakersfield College Men's Baskeball team placed several players on the All-Conference Team Monday, and Coach Richard Hughes was named Conference Coach of the Year. 

"Deandre Dickson was named Western State Conference South MVP, and to my dismay, point guard Jameik Riviere was not named Co-MVP, I felt that he deserved that," Coach Hughes said, "There was some politics involved with the voting, and no disrespect to Deandre, but I think Jameik will be an All-State player, and they were both great." 

Lawrence Moore and Nick Velasquez were also named to the First Team All-Conference Team, while James Pendleton and Shane Christie earned Honorable Mention All Conference honors. 

"But we've got 14 guys on our team who deserve something because they've all contributed to our success," Hughes said. 

Hughes also was named Conference Coach of the Year.
